the Alpha cohort
… a parenting journey inside the 21st century …
Parenting is a lifelong journey and a collection of experiences we learn along the way. When done correctly, this journey facilitates healthy growth and well-being of children. It also empowers them with confidence and self-esteem to face the uncertainties of life challenges today. The opposite is true when they lack empowerment and guidance.
At Parenting Alpha, we describe our own journey, one dotted with technology, globalization, cultural diversity, competitiveness & diverse social-economic realities! Hopefully, ours is not ‘very’ different from yours’, and even better, we can learn a thing or two from each other. Our collective input will definitely simplify our parenting choices and decisions.
Food for thought
Yes, companies and workflows still need real people with 21st century skills to milk even more ‘juice’ from technology.
ADHD in children and adults manifests in failure to pay attention, lack of self control, and being unnecessarily active.
Too much screen time in young children can lead to sleep debt, which is a precursor to medical conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, and psychosis!
Maintaining a healthy lifestyle in children is done by availing them nutritious foods and liquids, room to play, and of course, sleep.
Like never before, parents today are doing all they can, amidst technology, in order to help raise smart kids ready for the 21st century.
The 21st century classroom should accommodate flexible and random shapes, and be geared towards creativity, innovation, and active learning.
